May also affect cruise control and your Speedo will be less accurate due to the larger circumference of the oversize tyres

Re: Spare Wheel
all space saver tyres are 50mph on them as there only for temp use to get you to your local tyre sales to get the full size repaired/replaced. On my old Mercedes, I could run the space saver as long as I wanted, but restricted to 50mph. Came in very handy when I had to drive to Southampton but foun...

Re: Spare Wheel
Is it possible that an electric car is too heavy to run on a space saver wheel? The last car I had with a space saver restricted the speed to 50mph, just wondered that was the limit of wheel and tyre and the extra load on a space saver could be too much.

Re: Never bought new before - trade-in advice
Try one of the websites like We Buy Any Car or any of the others, tap in your registration number and see what they offer, you can then use this as a bargaining chip in your negotiations with the dealer.

Re: 1.6 normally aspirated or 1.2 DIG-T engine best?
CVT Gearbox, I have now driven 2 cars with CVT box, a Mercedes and my Nissan QQ. I did 115k miles in the Mercedes and so far done 55k miles in the QQ both with no problems. However, I do change the gearbox fluid and filters every 40k miles and I am not a speed merchant, I don't abuse my cars in any ...

Re: How to disable the Keyless entry J11
Have you experimented how close you have to be to the car for keyless unlocking to work? My car it's about 2ft not sure if disabling it will provide extra safety against theft. But, I can unlock the car from 30ft + using the key fob. What is more secure, if you are really that worried, remove the ba...

Worrying Development re Battery
Further to my Battery problem on earlier post, had a rather worrying development. Went to start the car yesterday morning and despite taking the car for a long drive, the battery was dead, so much so had no lights come on the dash. The worrying bit is, without being able to activate the start button...

Re: Smoke from cold start.
What colour is the smoke, generally white is a cold engine as is quite normal, blue is usually burning engine oil and may be piston wear, black normally is unburnt fuel. The last two would be happening nearly all the time not just on cold start.

New Battery
My car battery has finally died and I need to replace it. Does it need to be programmed to the car or can I just buy the replacement and do it myself?

Re: Key fob battery life
I've had my J11 now for 4 years and replaced the battery in one of them. Some of these batteries have been in stock in some shops for a long time and loose their charge.
