Re: OBDII Readers

My U480 universal scanner works well; book of codes comes with it.

Re: handbrake not working

Try to make sure they don't fob you off by just tightening up the cables behind the handbrake lever. The correct way is to remove rear wheels and with a screwdriver poked through the hole in each drum, turn the cogwheel until handbrake binds, then back off a whisker.

Re: 1.5 DCi poor acceleration / loss of power

I would forget the third option, not likely on hard acceleration, and first perhaps fixed, so go for second possibility.
Just my thoughts...

Re: Replacement wiper motor

I changed my J10 wiper motor recently, bought a Valeo on Ebay for £103 with postage to Uk. Identical to the original. See post from today "Wipers slow on every setting" with part nos. Just have a wiper arm puller, as they are on tightly, otherwise an easy swop.

Re: Wipers slow on every setting

Having replaced the motor successfully, I saw that water descending the windscreen squeezes past the plastic cover and drips onto the motor. Now to try to unobviously seal the plastic to windscreen in the area above the motor, perhaps with a little clear silicon.

Chrisw99, you refer to the J11 RHD version I assume; good to hear it is easier. No complications then on the LHD either?

Re: Qashqai 2011 Cabin Filter Location !!!!! help!!!!!

Assuming the J11 is similar to the J10, then one turns the heater to "LO" before removing the motor, then the cogs line up on replacement.

Re: Battery charging ground point

Any paintless bolt on the engine should do.
