Re: So this is goodbye..

Hi Richard, that is a Sad Post to read as you have been a regular contributor on this Forum. But I suppose all good things have to come to end, especially when problems occur on a regular basis and when both parties have the problem then it is normally "The End". Some members seem to have...

Re: 1.2 DIG-T - Oil loss

Hello to everyone from Switzerland, My question to all the participants of this thread who had oil consumption problem : did you guys followed the Nissan's recommendation of doing engine break-in during the first 1000 miles (1600 km)? I am just curios if this is somehow related to your oil consumpt...

So this is goodbye..

Well guys it's finally got to that point. The QQ i had and wanted so much to love and keep has had to go. The list of faults my particular vehicle had, although none "catastrophic" has taken its toll on me and I've finally pulled the plug. I won't say the QQ is a bad car, just that i got a...

Re: Black Box Insurance

Personally i wouldn't touch insurance of this type if i could avoid it. If it was purely used for insurance purposes and i didn't think it would be used to "stack" the already loaded deck some more then I'd probably not be bothered. My somewhat cynical mind believes that once it gets enoug...

Re: 1.2 DIG-T - Oil loss

Mine has now "Officially" had the 1000 mile test period . The results are pretty much as per before. 1/4 litre loss for every 1000 miles traveled. The dealer has logged the information with Nissan and have asked me to perform a further 1000 mile check to see if the usage remains consistent...

Re: New Vitara with Booster Jet 1.4 Petrol unit

I've sat in one of the vitaras and i thought it was a pretty reasonable effort and better than the s-cross.
I wouldn't buy one as part costs are prohibitively expensive but i've seen a lot worse.

Re: Parking Sensors !!!

If you still have service sheet with new sensors part number it would help a lot. When I spoke to the other dealer, he mentioned they want to drill it which I don't want to accept such temporary solution. The sensors will get damaged by time completely and then I'm on my own with this after warrant...

Re: Parking Sensors !!!

That's exactly how mine were last year. It was the front centre two only. They were full of water. Reprogramming them is a waste of time and the fact Nissan continue to insist this can be fixed via software is ridiculous. If the dealer even bothers to remove them to check they'll see that's the case...

Re: 1.2 DIG-T - Oil loss

That's interesting AlleyCat - have you changed you driving style between no loss and loss? I must admit, my driving style has changed, so rather than sitting at 65mph on the motorway to work, I now hit the A and B roads instead with a lot more stop/start traffic (not engine stop/start mind) Off the...

Re: Weird Light Affects

I think the others were suggesting it's only noticeable on a Tekna because that's the only model with the heated front screen.
