Re: New lad signing in

You would probably get a better deal at Durham where we got our QQ.

Re: 1.2 Auto performance.

We were shopping for a demo QQ CVT and the dealership in Sunderland gave us a test drive and we showed real interest and were on the point of buying so we asked for another test drive but they never got back to us. We then went to Gateshead dealership where we said we were interested in a Techna QQ ...

Re: Nissan Formular E Announcement

I tried to watch Formula E and cringed at the screeching noise they make. F1 petrol has also become a huge bore watching the procession of extremely expensive cars. I would rather see the drivers put in to powerful and cheap go karts and see which of them really is the better driver when they are gi...

Re: Cars Made in U.K. May Struggle to Be British Enough Post-Brexit

There is a lot of scaremongering going on against the UK democratic vote. But look around and most of the cars sold here are now from Germany and France. Even Ford Focus and Fiesta are made there. I bought my QQ to help support the local factory but I know a lot of parts they use come from elsewhere...

Re: 1.2 Auto performance.

I have had the 1.2 CVT since Dec and find it quite sprightly. My previous car was a 1.6 6 speed auto and I think this QQ is better. I did a run of 120 miles on Saturday and the readout was 50.5 mpg. This years insurance is also reasonable.

Re: Project: Reversing / Disabling Stop/Start feature

I'm now in the habit of switching the stop go off as soon as I start the engine. I hate stop and go. It can be switched off at any time if you forget. I have always believed that constant stopping and starting an engine is detrimental to the engine and to fuel consumption, as well as the environment.

Re: Stone chips.

Same here. Chips on bonnet already and last week watched a lorry throw up a tiny stone which has marked the windscreen. Discovered a small dink in the rear door when just 4 weeks into ownership from new.

Re: Car dealer disabled my dashcam during service

I always switch mine off for the servicing. What I do is take pics all around and inside the car in case there is any damage done by the garage people. I read recently that there is a new EU law coming out about now which prohibits all sorts of photography of anybody without permission.

Re: 1.2 dig-t grey smoke

I have noticed more than usual steam condensation on certain cold damp days. More than other cars and mine has been doing this from new. Not yet worried about it. I had a car once where the head gasket blew and I couldn't see the road behind as the steam was so dense.

Re: Nissan to quit Diesel Sales in Europe

I agree with all you say about battery cars. There is also the production of the batteries to consider, the materials used which will eventually become rare and that they also have to be replaced at a high cost every three or four years. Then how will the millions of dead batteries be recycled? Enor...
