60000 mile on the clock, I weigh a 14 stone or just over 88 kilo. So not a large person. Anyway 2 year ago my drivers seat started creaking so took it in for repair, the fix was in there words they had adjusted it and tightened it up. I was thinking of doing this myself, so you had to cut the plug from the car on the inner lights as that was different ?
Where did you get the replacement plugs ?
On the plug you have to remove is the wiring for the light still the same ?
Looks nice those lights look so far better than the old ones

They look to me like you have had some kind of chemical sprayed on them, have you had your car through one of these hand car wash places ? Unfortunately what many do not realise these people do not have a clue what they are using and if they spray some thing to neat as the chemicals are made to dilu...

You can buy a product called sikaflex Black what windscreen fitters use, comes in a tube like bathroom sealer and you use it in a gun the same, simply reseal it.

They are painted the same colour as the car under the tape, I know this as I have one that was peeling so I pulled it up a little to stick it back down.

The only problem with these ultra thin LED/indicators they start to burn out, I have several spots along mine where they have gone brown and the led no longer lights on those spots.

Cost, they sell the spare tyre kit including foams.
The reason for not supplying a spare would be to reduce cost and also meat MPG by loosing the extra weight.
Run flats would bring the cost of making the car up.
