It should be attached to the anti roll bar drop link, the bar vertically next to it. Get them replaced, not expensive do both sides. It does look as though it hasn't been attached for some time, it will quieten down your suspension rattle as well.

It should have a dipstick attached, it's the only way to check transmission levels. It may be there isn't one on the engine dipstick as your dash will tell you when those levels are low.

A 2014 1.6 diesel is almost certainly a Euro 5 car, I've got one. I consider the £30 road tax I pay ok and I am willing to pay the ULEZ charge or in Bristol the Clean Air Zone (CAZ) as I never visit these areas and go to the out of town shops instead. The annoying bit is, to upgrade form Euro 5 to 6...

Did you check the fluid level before changing the fluid? A low level will affect the working of any auto box CVT or otherwise. The gearbox becomes unable to reach the pressures required to either change gear or in the case of a CVT box move the cones. For the sake of cost of the fluid and filters. m...

Always replace the tensioner with a new chain, the tensioner may have flexed beyond it's limit on the old chain. Brought up changing my 1966 Mini timing chain twice, didn't change the tensioner first time, oops :D

I read that he did as he knew it had a main dealer history or did I read it wrong lol
