Re: Second battery? Suspected alternator fault?
Good evening Lucas, Are you able to start the engine ? If so a multi meter test should show a voltage across the battery when the engine is running of around 14 to 14. 5 voilts give or take. This will show if the alternator is charging. The static reading you are getting of 12.1v is a little low but...

Re: Battery issue
Hi Ariena As stated above the qashqai has had known battery issues in the past with a particular original brand, however you have stated earlier that the battery is fairly new so I would guess your mechanic purchased a different type. Car chargers are a minefield and there are hundreds of them. If y...

Re: Current projects.,
I removed the adhesive strips off mine and used silicone beads instead. Unless the self adhesive strip is genuine 3M it won't last long once it starts getting wet. Mine have been on a month or two now without any issues yet, my cmax versions have been on for ten years, same method without issue.... ...

Re: Battery issue
If a car battery has not been used for a while the plates inside can deteriorate and the battery will need to be charged preferably with a charger that can recover a flat battery state. I can't see how lack of use could be a warranty claim depending on how long it has been since you used it of cours...

Re: Trailer indicator warning light
Issues aside of course, the clean, crisp, bright, instantaneous modern effect of an LED indicator bulb lifts the lighting standard of the car in my opinion but more importantly increases visibility to other road users at known accident hot spots....our road junctions, but the LED load headaches are a...

Trailer indicator warning light
Just fitted a complete set of quality LED indicator bulbs on each corner of my Qashqai J11 2020. Got the can bus error free and no hyper flash version to be safe. All works fine, super bright sharp and clear, maybe a little too bright infact. There is an issue however and that is the Trailor indicat...

Re: Ignition Key flattens car battery
MMMMMMM, So you have had the battery checked and it's ok You haven't said if it's been tested for correct charging It doesn't happen when the key is not inserted And it happens when the key is in but not turned. I'm sure no electrical contact is made with anything when the key is just inserted , So ...
