Understood. Since my OEM radio was on its last legs I just wanted a basic replacement but couldn't find one. So saved the pocket money and went for this.

If you find a cheaper alternative let is know just for interest.

If your capable of doing it then well done you. I got mine changed (J10 2012) at our local garage. About £600 including a service and done in one day or less.

My replacement stereo is in the post and due this week. I'll let you know when I have it installed and how easy/hard it is to do.
