Re: stereo upgrade 2009 1.5 dci

Not sure if this will help you in the short term but.... Because my radio paritally works and I wanted to play music and use the sat-nav on my phone I got a bluetooth receiver that plugs into the Aux Socket in the box under the arm rest. Then I select the AUX input on the radio and turn on bluetooth...

Re: stereo upgrade 2009 1.5 dci

My radio is on its last legs and I'm just about to order one of these. Might take some time before I install it but if I remember and your not in a hurry I'll let you know how it goes.

Re: Rain Sensor computer

From what I can see in the service manual the wipers are controlled by something called a BCM and not the ECU/ECM. BCM is short for Body Control Module and does a lot more than just control the wipers.

Re: Rear Suspension Height

I thought I had this problem on my J10 but with the near side rear lower than the off side. Noticed it quite a few times when parked in my carport with concrete base - supposedly flat. If you have a smart phone try the app from Sygic. I've been trying this and found it very good so decided to purchase it. Basic price £9.49 supposedly for life and free updates. A few other interesting add-ons such as Dash-Cam.

Re: Spare tyre or puncture repair kit or Jack

Got mine from here at £146 - https://www.thewheelshop.co.uk Everything is ok apart from the lift height of the jack but that's easily overcome. Doesn't include any inserts as my J10 already has space for a spare wheel anyway.

Re: Timing Belt

Had mine done by local garage at the end of last year - 2012, 1.5dci. Cost including full major service about £600 from memory, and the timing belt kit included the water pump.

Re: Spare tyre or puncture repair kit or Jack

If you get a spare wheel kit that includes the jack, make sure the jack can lift the car high enough. The one I got needs a 4" thick block of wood under it to get the wheels clear off the ground without making it dangerously unstable.

Re: Loss of cruise control after ECM update

I had the same problem a couple of years back. Dealer admitted the technician hadn't reset something and it was just a few minutes to fix.
