ABS could certainly be the problem in that it monitors for differences in wheel rotational speed... of all 4 wheels. A Space Saver wheel/tyre combo of the correct diameter should not raise an ABS error though IMO. So get your original wheel fixed up and back on and go for a good drive. I had similar...
