My brother once had a couple of Metro bangers, one of which had such a badly rusted floor pan, it let water into the footwell if he drove through a deep puddle. He rearranged the badge letters on it to read "ROT ME".

Assuming your new radio has a standard ISO connection, you need a converting harness that plugs onto the existing Nissan wiring at one end and plugs into your aftermarket gear at the other. I don't know about the petrol version but for the 1.6 diesel, Nissan recommends replacement at 180,000 miles or after 10 years. Generally they don't need changing as long as the tensioner is kept in good condition; a change now would give you peace of mind about the component for the rest of the veh...

Motability (not mobility) vehicles are generally kept by the customer for three years. The first J11s went on sale in February 2014, so yours must have had its third service, albeit an intermediate one, at a Nissan dealer shortly before you bought it from the unhelpful ex-Motability dealer in June. ...
