Nissan Connect - it's just the name of the technology but not the head unit.
Android auto - the same.

Every head unit has number and named just "head unit", "radio" , etc

Thank you @incipient - how do you match the old identifiers to the new identifiers? It wasn't clear to me which is why I posted the question. Is this how you wired yours initially or was there some trial and error before you found the right pins? I can read wiring diagrams. I studied this question ...

No. Direct connection fails. Head units have different connectors and you need to make an adapter. I ordered connectors from China and made it myself, looking at the connector diagrams from the old and new heads. You can look it in my link a few pages ago.
