Re: Car not locking and alarm sounds when boot half full

When you try to lock it are you sure it only beeps once? Or does it Veep 4 times?

On the dash it should say if a door or boot lid is still open the only thing it doesn't show is bonnet. Sometimes adjusting the bonnet switch by bending the bracket up a bit sorts it

Re: How to tighten up crankshaft pulley?

The timing tool that is used to lock the crank when timing it up is used when tightening crank pulley. 120nm torque is easily done with torque wrench but the next 100 degrees is where it gets difficult, easier to mark the head of the bolt then mark the pulley 100 degrees clockwise then using an impa...

Re: Shielded bag for smart keys, anti-theft

Interesting Bit of new information for you all, have you seen the new j12, F16 hybrid and FE0 ariya ikeys? They now have a motion detecting sensor inside of them so if they haven't been moved for something like 20 minutes they will go to sleep and not respond to any requests until they have been &qu...

Re: Help. Exhaust Flap

The exhaust flap is only there for low pressure egr, so majority of time you won't see it work as low pressure egr flow happens as your driving it can start if let idle for sometime but your best of using a bi directional scan tool to actuate it and visually look at it move. That flap actuator has b...

Re: 2012 Nissan Qashqai 1.6DCI Tekna

You don't need it paired as such but the ipdm/emcm does require the battery data clearing so it then know it need to carry out a calibration on the new battery so as to work out State of health and state of charge ect. A full code scan will be more beneficial to begin with before making any assumpti...

Re: J10 1.6d R9M Timing Cover and Sump

Common problem with r9m mate, I have done loads, easier job than the 1.2 dig t ... but I recommend a new timing cover as it usually bends upon removal unlike the aluminium covers which don't bend. Easy enough to do though just recommend putting on the genuine nissan sealant and you'll need 2 tubes o...
