Re: Erroneous TPMS alert

I might have to calibrate mine as well. Ever since I had a new battery fitted the indicated tyre pressures have been low when compared to my gauges which previously matched. From what I've worked out, you set the tyres to the "target pressure" 33/30 when the ambient temperature is at 21 de...

So electric heaters as I said previously, that explains it nicely thanks. But that 2.1 kW of electrical energy can only originate from the diesel fuel.

Re: DPF regeneration process

I understand that but how does it convert electrical energy into heat energy? I know that the coolant temp increases due to the extra load on the engine from the alternator but where does the electrical energy go?

Re: DPF regeneration process

Not for me (R9M engine / CVT). As you can also see on the video, there was no change in fuel consumption at all. That's odd. Why does your alternator load increase so much? I wonder if your engine uses an electric heater for the regen and mine injects more fuel? When mine is regenerating it's almos...

Re: DPF regeneration process

I have looked again and I am failing to understand how to recognise a dpf regeneration without specialist equipment I always keep the fuel consumption "2" displayed on the dash. When you see the MPG plummet then it's doing a regen (It can drop by at least 10mpg). I try to keep driving for...

Re: Speed camera bleep...........

Switchback, have you seen this. We had a New Connect installed last year but over here there was no inclusion of the Speed Alerts, initially from new Yes but then with software upgrades they were gone - Reason was legality problems I was told - Dave :D https://www.qashqaiforums.co.uk/viewtopic.php?...

Speed camera bleep...........

I had a new Connect system fitted a few weeks ago and since then I've not had a warning bleep when nearing a speed camera although it does show on the map. I've looked in the handbook and the screen options but can't find any way of turning the bleep on/off. Any ideas ??????

Did you have a paint protection coating done when it was new?

Re: Tapping noise in rear on straight roads

It was done by Nissan not me. It won't be getting done again as I'm trading it in for a Mazda. https://www.qashqaiforums.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=5677&start=20#p52221 After removing the headlining they used a noise detecting probe of some sort but the noise transmitted all over the place s...

Re: Tapping noise in rear on straight roads

Mines just come back from having it done for the second time. They spent 14 hours on it.
