Mine definitely doesn’t do that, you have to have the key with you to lock the car.

I recall my partner accidentally left her spare key (for her Leaf) in her coat pocket, in the car.
Her car beeped a lot and refused to lock using the other key.

In my humble opinion there’s a fault there somewhere - maybe the key that was in the car ?

I wish I could help with your questions but I’ve no idea.

I haven’t noticed any problems with the USB port on my car, yet……
I only use mine for charging my iPhone (case too bulky for the wireless charger) and CarPlay works as expected
