Re: J11 Service Schedule - looking for document

my warranty book was completely blank , the dealer sent me some stickers on request , but no schedules.

i am told nissan dont put them in the book now , list of service points are obtainable from a dealer .

i dont think much of it either.

towing electrics intermittent

i ordered a nissan towbar with the new car order. the dealer fitted a universal wiring kit ie NOT the dedicated vehicle specific kit. VSK this was ok for a few hundred miles , then lost power to all caravan running lights. the power returns after a few hours. thinking the universal kit to be unsuita...

Re: 1.6 Dci Auto questions

"automatics are almost all rated to pull less weight than the equivalent manual . within this physical limitation , towing performance is in no way inferior , on the contrary some people think its far superior. as far as i know , almost all automatics including cvt/xtronics etc have torque con...

Re: 1.6 Dci Auto questions

[quote="robrymond"] Thanks for the responses. I'm a little worried by the lag mentioned when pulling off though I know automatics do suffer from this regardless but is it that noticeable? ----------------------------- i test drove the qq diesel cvt and personally found the lag unaccepable ...

Re: Start/stop and turbo

[quote="SplanK"]There is an FAQ about this... . The turbo should be water cooled so removes heat quite quickly from the core. ------------------- if the turbo is water cooled , i wonder where this water comes from , and how it gets fed into the turbo . same question applies to the oil cool...

Re: 1.6 Dci Auto questions

[quote="Daewar"]Something very important about the auto, it makes a far inferior towing machine. For some reason the QQ towing performance is much lower with an auto box and engine size is even more of an issue. Here are just a couple of examples: QASHQAI HATCHBACK 1.2 DiG-T Tekna [Non-Pan...

Re: Qashqai reliability

its possible the latest qq's may be better, many issues may have been resolved for current production. my own petrol xtronic has given no trouble so far (4500 MILES) but i have less confidence in the new aspects - ie small turbo engine , more complex xtronic . i have also been unimpressed by nissan ...

Re: Qashqai reliability

tihis is not just about feedback on this blog.

it is the case that consumer association "which" reliability reviews gave the first generation qq 4 stars i think , but the j11 gets just 2 stars .

that is a massive drop .
