Just do as I stated undo the M8 Nut, lift the Bracket off the M8 Stud, carefully move the Bracket and Strut around the Bonnet Bracket and then you should be able to place the assembled parts on the top of the wing (but put some rags on it to prevent scratches), then just unscrew...

Beardyman, as I mentioned the Brackets look like they are facing DOWN they should be facing UP. As I mentioned you just need to reverse them.
