Noddy, have I read this correctly, are you saying that there is a likelihood of the Petrol Engine being fitted with an AdBlue System ? The Alliance / MB Petrol engine has just been newly developed with a New Particle Filter to meet the new STDs and there are differences between Diesel & Petrol ...

If it were just the rear lights on, I'd think maybe dodgy earth. But after what's happened today I'd think it's more serious than that.

As suggested, get a diagnostic check done.

It will be interesting to see how long it actually lasts then. I'd be surprised if you got 3000 miles + out of 16 litres.

Out of interest, how much does the adblue tank hold ?

Could be slave cylinder, or clutch itself. If it's never been changed 130,000 is past it's best for most clutch parts.
