Re: BRAKES FAILED!!! CRASHED

The hydraulic dual circuit foot brake and mechanical/electric hand brake are completely unconnected on any QQ as far as I know, whether electric or not. Hmm...

Re: New Member

Do not 1.6 dCi QQs, whether J10 or J10 facelift have that self regenerating system also?

Re: Start stop failure and engine warning lights - any advice please?

Perhaps I haven't been paying attention at the back, but is this not one of the first mentions of DPF problems on a 1.6 dCi? I thought Renault had sorted things out on this engine.
Hope you can keep the exhaust free flowing from now on, Richard. :)

Re: DMF clutch vs solid flywheel

There are those who suggest that the DMF is essential to keep shockwaves to the gearbox to a minimum, otherwise excessive bearing wear may result. Some feel no difference when driving with a solid flywheel, others feel vibration and suggest that there is a good reason for DMFs. The jury is out methi...

As I understand it, multi link is used on 4x4 versions, and mine is very comfortable even when well loaded. :)

Re: Exposed lower radiator...

I cut it to intercooler size, removed the upper plastic grill, and bonnet release bracket, four nuts, and cut a chunk of the plastic foam which was in the way on one side, and could then slide the mesh down at an angle, bending it slightly. Two ca...

Re: Brake pedal vibration when bracking

Rear discs and pads is the next step. They often deteriorate faster than front discs, in wetter climates. :(

Re: Oil leak on J10 (pictures included)

Hi J10Q, I agree with gvmdaddy, that hole looks like the hole to drain any possible dribbles past the rear crankshaft oil seal, or occasionally from a gearbox mainshaft seal. What mileage has the J10 done? Oil seen there is usually only on high mileage cars.
Hope you can negotiate some compensation.
