As far as I am aware satnav announcements override everything a they are time critical nothing else is.

Maybe I'm being naive but it's a fault, the car is in warranty period I would expect a warranty repair, never had an issue with any other make.

I just wish I could turn it off. It's the one and only thing on the car I find annoying. If they want to do this they should put a battery on with enough body to be able to handle it. It's erratic and I still it saves much in fuel.
