I didn’t suffer this with my J11B but nor did I use Waze very often (don’t like the interface) - usually only as a gimmick, preferring the Nissan Sat Nav or Google

I imagine that it will be difficult to advise you on this without sitting in the car and watching you manoeuvre.
You say that you are a new driver, were you on good terms with your driving instructor ?
Perhaps he or she will be able to sit with you and lend some assistance ?

This fault has not happened to my car and I have left it for 14 days without using it while on holiday in May.

I didn’t experienced this with either of my first two Qashqais, so no first hand recommendations.

However, it’s cropped up regularly.
Hopefully, you can find some suggestions by using our excellent search facility

Forget the number of litres quoted, it’s smaller than it looks Thanks - that helps but probably puts me off! Have a Tiguan currently so think I’ll be stepping down in litres One of my best mates has a Tiguan, a QQ would be a step down in size. A Tiguan is probably where I’m going next but a hybrid....
