Most of the pleasure of a new car is that it is in pristine condition you don’t want a new car that is a bundle of repairs and patches.

I think such a mess would damage my confidence in the quality of the engine installation. Nissan must realise this engine has been installed in a new car. Surely as it is a new car someone in the garage should have inspected the work and noticed the scratches and dirty engine before it was released ...

Always best to follow up any verbal agreement in writing. Although a contract or an amendment can be verbally agreed it’s much simpler and clearer if the agreement is written down.

You should also follow up all of the above in an email to The Boss at Bristol Street Motors. just set the main points out and refer to your earlier conversation.

I would certainly not consider a steering problem a minor issue and you have already given the dealer an opportunity to fix the car

Just two weeks, or so, until we pick up our new Tekna + we are not having any additional items fitted to it.

I am one of the older drivers which is probably why I don’t trust it, as you point out it’s easy to park if you use the cameras.
