if it`s diesel change the fuel filter too every few years

try another bulb just incase new one no good. check the contact is clean too

have you looked at the glow-plugs/ spark plugs they may need replaceing

Take a quick look at the colour of the oil on the dipstick and other easy thing to check is air-filter you'll soon see if its been replaced or not by the colour of it. As for the heating you haven't got the auto button pressed on have you.
