I have qashqai 2017 which has connect 3 V3 I just had a service they said they updated the maps how can I check, also says soon I can buy V4 on here would that be better maps than I have now with V3 update yesterday or no updated

Shaun, a v4 of anything will be better than a v3 of the same thing

The maps are on an SD card which slots on at the top/right of your connect unit. Turn the ignition off before checking that though.

Pandjh understand your reply but trying to understand if a much better map version r newer system, or just the change in a few streets to see if with buying, have to say be which I have not really that good and oftern does not select best route and i tend to use Google maps as well, but happy to buy V4 if people can give advice that its better

IIRC it was available in April.

My service was in March (my free mapping upgrade took me to V3) and therefore missed V4 by a week or so.
At least the service guy was polite and friendly enough to acknowledge the inherent unfairness but nothing he could do to rectify the problem.

V4 is available on eBay for £35 delivered
