I have a J10 pre facelift 2.0 petrol 2008.
Ever since I’ve had it, including driving home from the seller when I bought it, when driving in a straight line either carriageway or just local roads at no particular speed, every now and again I get a millisecond of stiffness feeling through the steering wheel. It doesn’t activate the MIL or EPS light. It feels like the EPS is failing but for less than a second then back to normal again. Being electric this has me stumped as this was usually a sign of low fluid. It hasn’t failed or anything dangerous just feels like a bit of a wobble almost. Any other QQ owners suffered this? I am aware of steering recalls but mine was produced prior to the affected models. I’m probably answering my own question but it could do with some new discs/pads but as the fault is intermittent then I wouldn’t think they were to blame perhaps......?
Any input gratefully received.
