Hi
Have a 63 plate qashqai 360 and when I press the cruise control nothing happens. The limit function seems to work though.
It's been plugged in and no faults come up. I've googled and can't find anything as to what it might be.
Any ideas appreciated. I've got a funny feeling it could be an expensive outing to Nissan although I know it isn't essential!

Welcome to this forum.
I can't recall this coming up before. Bearing in mind I have little technical knowledge of the situation I'd postulate that on a car of that age it could easily be a faulty switch, faulty wiring or faulty/corroded connectors, including (I'm really guessing here) the "clock spring" connector in the steering wheel.
Let's see if anyone else can be more helpful!

It may be the switch/button/wiring? However, there are 6 inputs (sensors for clutch/brake and so on) to the ECU to initiate (stop/start) ASCD.
Its an ECU controlled function and as such certain DTCs may not be detected by generic scanners? So diagnostics at distance is impossible.
