New to the forum, hello all.

My 60 plate 1.5 DCI ruptured its top plastic boost hose 10 days ago, whilst I was about 5 miles from home. I was travelling along a dual carriage way when I suddenly noticed a drop in power & the car was gradually slowing down, fearing I would end up blocking a lane I pulled off up a slip road only to find the car didnt have enough power to make it up the hill. After discovering the cracked hose & bodging it with duct tape & disconnecting the battery it took several attempts at pulling away up the slip road due to the car not revving above 1500rpm. I managed to get the car home in limp mode moving at no more than 20mph. When I arrived home I assumed I would get a replacement hose, reset the ECU with my OBD coder and that would be that but 10 days on and I'am still no closer to resolving the fault and have handed the car over to a local garage but he has now given up on it & suggests it may need a main dealer. Please can anyone shed some light on this or point me in the right direction.
Here are a list of the codes that can be read in order of when they 1st occured

P012C (Inlet pressure)
P242F (DPF)
P0299 (turbo underboost)
P047B (exhaust pressure B)
P0471 (exhaust pressure)

P1525 ASCD Air bypass valve/Auto speed control device

So basically the garage has said he has ruled out the Dpf by disconnecting it as the car stil does not rev up. He has taken apart the EGR & cleaned it but it only had minimal carbon build up anyway. He has replaced the boost inlet sensor and checked the brake lights work (ASCD pedal switch). He now wants to replace a sensor somewhere near the EGR but is not confident enough that it will be the problem as he said it is a Nissan genuine only part that costs £150.

Has anyone come across any similar symptoms/codes before

Moved to J10 section Now you have cleared the first set of errors, and you fixed the blown boost hose, what errors do you get now? Your OBD reader, is it blue tooth? I know on my later 1.2 DIG-T, the reader, via a Android app called Torque and the Bluetooth reader, it is able to display boost pressure. Saying that, I would have thought your local garage would have checked the turbo over and other pipework for other splits?

Thanks for your reply splank

I 'am using a bluetooth obd code reader & touchscan app.
The garage has checked over the turbo, egr valve and said he has discounted the dpf by disconnecting the exhaust before the dpf comes into play and the fault is still present.

The current code is P1525 ASCD bypass valve which I believe relates to the egr valve, hence this is why he has stripped the egr down to look for carbon build up. I dont know if there are still any other codes present at the moment I will find out on tuesday when the garage reopens but the initial code P242F although on my app only highlights it as manufacturer defined I have since discovered this code relates to ash build up on the dpf.

So would I be right in thinking the dpf is infact clogged up with ash due to me having to drive it home in limp mode and the code P1525 is caused by the egr being inhibited by the ecu due to the dpf sensing a blockage.

If this is the case can a forced regen clear all these fault codes or do the codes have to be cleared before a forced regen can take place

I usually use this site for codes, gives some extra options to look into.http://engine-codes.com/p242f.htmland this one:http://bestdiagsolution.forumgratuit.or ... escription

Details for your codes: P012C - TURBOCHARGER BOOST SENSOR (Implausible signal) - (Possible issue: Harness or connectors; Turbocharger boost sensor)P242F - DIESEL PARTICULATE FILTER RESTRICTION - ASH ACCUMULATION - (Possible issue: Above max threshold)P0299 - I haven't found information on this one, are you sure you wrote it down correctly?P047B - EXHAUS GAS PRESSURE SENSOR 2 (Signal incoherence; Signal detected outside upper or lower limit) - (Possible issue: Harness or connectors (The exhaust gas pressure sensor 2 circuit is open or shorted.); Exhaust gas pressure sensor 2)P0471 - EXHAUST GAS PRESSURE SENSOR 1 (Incorrect sensor mounting; Signal incoherence) - (Possible issue: Exhaust gas pressure sensor 1; Exhaust gas pipe (Between Exhaust gas pressure sensor 1 and Exhaust manifold)P1525 is always a consequence of a failure in another system and should appear with another DTC in the ECMMy conclusion: DPF needs good clean or replacement.

Hi Woodsy I'm having the exact same problem at the moment. Did you ever manage to get yours running again? My mechanic just called and having changed boost pipe the EGR DPF and a part on the turbo have now washed their hands of it saying they're not sure what the problem actually is.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The fault ended up being the DPF was clogged up, even though the garage disconnected the exhaust from the DPF, the sensor still connected to the DPF was sending an "Ash accumulation" signal to the ECU. We disconnected the sensor an sprayed in some DPF cleaner, left it for a while an reconnected everything, took it for a run & after a few miles it started to pick up so I could take it on a decent run an fully clear the DPF through regen.

Thanks for that fingers crossed it sorts mine, already £1000 into parts roulette
