I have owned a 66 plate Qashqai 1.5 for 18 months and 20,000 miles and the one thing I grumble about all the time is the clutch. I think the pedal is too high, too stiff and is inclined to judder in first and second gear, especially when cold . Hope to change the car next year and if I don't buy another Qashqai that will be the reason. Before the Qashqai I drove a Toyota Corolla for 18 years and nearly 300,000 miles and never had an issue with the clutch except for a replacement at around 120, 000 because the drive plate was worn. The Qashqai is a great driving car otherwise but for me the clutch issue lets it down. Having a major service next week and I have mentioned it to the dealer so ill see what if anything they can do . I'm having a courtesy car so I hope its another Qashqai so as I can compare the clutch.

I had a major service last week and they told me the clutch was heavy - but then said it'll be due to wear and tear and not something covered by warranty.
4 years and 37,000 miles and clutch wearing out - nice.

I also was getting a lot of judder in first gear, but I had the brake fluid replaced as part of the service and it seems to have cured that. I believe the clutch fluid uses the same reservoir as the brake fluid.

Let us know what they say about your clutch please.

definitely not had judder since the brake fluid change. I assume the clutch is hydraulic so when you press it compresses the liquid, and release it decompresses, so if the fluid is wearing a bit thin may cause the judder.
