Chassis Control System Fault (again)

Hello all,

First time posting and new to forums etc so please bare with me If I make mistakes.

So, this morning my wife was driving to work and the chassis control system fault pops up and the car goes in to limp mode. She pulls on to the hard shoulder and calls the breakdown service. They arrive and all is well, as my wife goes to show the man the fault and warning lights etc they seem to have disappeared so the car seems to be working as normal. The chap offers to plug the car in and have a look over it, they drive to the services so this can be done as the services was only a few mile up the road. The car drove there as if there were no issues.

The chap plugs the car in and it displays an issue with a coil pack, he checks the coils and they seem to be absolutely fine. He left the message on the system and advised to take the car to the dealership so they can then plug it in and make their own judgement. We have the car booked in for Monday, the garage has said to my wife that there is a known issue with the batteries however the extended warranty we have runs out on the 27th Jan and this is mechanical warranty only, not electrical.

Where do we stand? Has anyone been in this position before? Surely if it's a known issue then Nissan should IMO cover the cost.

The car - Nissan Qashqai Acenta Premium Dig- T 1.2 petrol 2014
34k miles
serviced by Nissan every year

Many thanks in adavance
