ood morning all
Bit of a strange one , now the mornings are getting cold 7 degrees here I have noticed if I rev my car even stationary after a 5 min warm up I can hear a noise Luke a quiet vacuum cleaner. The noise goes away when the car is warm. The turbo pulls like it should and no extra smoke or rough running etc (i don't put the engine under strain when still cold)
I'm just wondering if this is like a built in technology to by pass the turbo when starting from cold or a secondary air injection set up etc ?
When starting the car on a warm day I don't get it , have heard it a couple of random cold days.
The noise isn't a high pitched siren etc more like there is a small quiet vacuum cleaner.
Strange noise when stone cold

I can't help, I'm afraid.
But it might help the next person along if you could say which engine you have in the car
Good Luck
