Heater actuator

Hi all,

I am wondering If you could help me withe the issue I have found with my Qashqai?

It is 1.6 petrol, 2011 tekna. The car was recently serviced (cabin filter replaced). I just noticed that when I use an air con I can only get a cold air once the controller is set to “LO”. When I change the temperature to 16-16.5deg the air becomes much warmer than this. I stripped down all the heater actuator to make sure that it has been installed corectly, and it was. I followad vides from links I have found on this forum. I noticed that when the temperature is set to LO, the flap is at its lowest position, as soon as I change the temperature by 0,5deg the actuator moves the flap all way up.

Could you please tell if this is normal? To me this actuator should move the flap gradually in between its minimum and maximum stroke and it should only reach top position at HI temperature setting, no at 16.5 deg.

Is this a sign of faulty Heater actuator? Or there is something else wrong?

Thanks in advance😉

I sorted it out. Both wheels the black one and the white one needs to be synchronised properly. The cutout on the black one needs to be in line with a little pin on the white wheel. Thats all😉

I don't suppose you can enlighten me further. I have the problem in reverse. Move the temp setting off high and the actuator moves through the entire range and not incremental.

Michaelw,

Could
You share the video links please
Our air on went on the blink today. I had to manually move a lever to get it working. I suspect a blend door issue. Probably the actuator.

Any help would be most welcome. Cheers
