Hello,
Hope your all well and safe.
I have recently bought a Nissan Qashqai 59 plate Manual from a car dealership.
Shortly after owning the car it became a struggle for me to get the car to go into reverse, I then have to double clutch to get it to go in fully.
I returned the car to the garage and they said upon inspection that the Renault gearbox that is Used in the car, has a slight alignment issue and this is a design fault that cannot be rectified.
Has anyone else experienced this? Can you confirm for me is this is correct information?
I don’t feel confident that if I keep driving the car It may cause further damage and if it is repairable I would like to do so Immediately.
Thanks in advance

That means all Renault gearboxes of that vintage/type by design are faulty? They are faulty from day 1. I suggest you make a request for the official position from Nissan Customer Services UK...in particular the nature of the "design fault" and related history/documentation.

As long as recent purchase, you can demand refund for this inherent fault.
