AST1, if you have a genuine Nissan Dog Guard do you not have any instructions or installation parts as both the Nissan Guards mention drilling holes and normally details should be supplied or was the Guard 2nd Hand ? Hopefully a Dog Owner Member can help you or it will have to be a DIY Job - Dave 🙂

Here is an old post but it does not mention the Fittings : viewtopic.php?t=7382

Thanks Dave,

It is 2nd had.
I am comfortable with drilking the holes for the lower fixings, but struggling with the top fixings that go into the roof.

When I pop the lugs out, there is no thread and assume there must be a captive threaded insert.

If there are any friends on here with a genuine Nissan dog guard that can spare a few minutes to photo the the fixings for me it would be a massive help.

AST1, I am a person that asks a lot, if you have the Nissan Dog Guard Type why not go to your friendly Nissan Dealer and ask the Parts Dept you may well be lucky and get some Part No’s. I was in our Dealers Parts Dept asking about Bike Carriers on Friday they were very helpful - Good Luck and worth a try Dave 😉

Hi AST1. On an alternate site I found this topic
http://forum.qashqaiclub.co.uk/newbie-n ... c6719.html
Maybe it will help.

I got the Travall dog gaurd and centre separator off eBay for a bargain price, and these just clip behind the seats. Very easy to install. Hopefully you can get yours to work out for you, otherwise I would recommend selling and getting the Travall one.

Thanks Alan,

I have sent the genuine Nissan guard back and will take your advice as the Travall looks a lot less messing around.

Kind Regards
