J10 2012 Bluetooth phone connectivity

Hoping someone can set me straight re the phone connection.

My phone Bluetooth and the car are picking up the Nissan Bluetooth channel as dash and phone both show the lit icons

However whats happening is when I take a call it works for about 5 seconds, then cuts out. I can't hear the audio either through the car speakers or the phone, then it seems to reconnect, intermittent connection then goes on like this for the duration of the very frustrating call.

Any idea how I solve this?

Is all the software up to date...phone and car head unit. Try your phone on another car or another phone with the head unit.
