Gloucester, Thanks ! But still pretty damn tight for a QQ with Mirrors Open. One of the problems I see is that if you are young and agile all is fine, but when you age, you stiffen up, lack mobility and then this is when the problems arise. You must love the Ignis for Size @ 1660 cm - Dave 😁

It just occurred to me that they are making cars longer, wider and heavier (not least when they are hybrids with hefty batteries) but with smaller engines. A contradiction?

More efficiency - and remember most petrols weren't turbo whereas most now are

Only americans still use big engines w/o a turbo, disadvantage - its thirsty but petrol is cheap over there .
Two advanteges, you’ll get acceleration at low rpm and the engine will last longer, but who needs a car for 30 years, will we last that long :) already planning of exchanging my 19 qashqai to 21 this summer :)

I do - but I have to admit I've fallen head over heels in LOVE - with an Ioniq 5 - what a fabulous car!

I much prefer it to the Ariya which is a significant competitor!

Pondering whether to raid the retirement funds!

Gloucester, if your in LOVE then go for it get that Pension Money moving you earned it and cannot take it with you and one Big Advantage is the Ioniq 5 cannot answer back 🥴. Nice Car, but the starter price is also nice from £45,000, but I must admit the Co. is a Go Ahead one and the Designs do change regularly - Dave 😉

It's curious that a launch edition doesn't feature the top model enhanced.

I'd previously mentioned that the Premiere Edition was only on 18" wheels not the 20" ones seen in the press launch images. Likewise it's available in a manual which we've also not seen yet (*), and:

The interior follows a classic format, with black cloth trim, black dashboard and centre console, which combine to give the interior an air of refinement and pedigree, while a grey roof trim prevents the overall ambience from being oppressive.

Black cloth and black - "an air of refinement and pedigree" - really?!?!?

We haven't seen the cloth trim yet either.

And ProPILOT is optional?

The Premiere Edition Qashqai will be available with the newly upgraded ProPILOT with Navi-link, which brings greater driver support in a wider array of circumstances, for great peace of mind in all driving scenarios.

Getting expensive isn't it?

Just before pressing post I found the manual!

I think I prefer the J11's
