Nissan Qashqai 1.6 dCi Tenka 5 door hatchback, after a long journey in atrocious weather my vehicle overtaking warning amber light, on the inside of the car by the drivers external mirror has started to come on randomly, sometimes it stays on for a few seconds, other times it flashes, apart from that it still works fine warning me of a vehicle overtaking, can anybody advise me on where the sensor is please, I have gone around the car and cleaned the cameras in case the external mirror cameras are the sensors but it has made no difference, all help and advice appreciated

I reported that issue on mine as a warranty matter - the garage couldn't find anything wrong. Often happened when it was raining. Driver's side only but definitely at random when there was no trigger object

thank you gloucester, as you say when it's raining drivers side only, car is due a service and MOT in February next, will ring them and report it and they can look at it under warranty then, got the car last March, car 1st registered in May 17 but previous owner got it MOT'd 3 months early before selling it?

Conrail, as Gloucester has mentioned we had this problem to on our QQ J11 with Heavy Rain and I used to wipe all the Camera Areas. Ours was on the RH Side (Passenger) as we have a LHD Model but the same as side as your problem. On the new QQ J11B I have not had this problem yet - Dave

Hi guys, had service and MOT, garage said coudn't find a problem but Nissan are aware of issue and trying to rectify,

I'm having problems with this system. Symbol in dashboard is flashing for 10 min and then turns orange and the error sign apears. the warning system doesn't work.
someone have any idea? where are located the sensors?

Hi.

I am new to Qashqai so I am not sure, but was told by dealer that it uses the drivers side parking sensors to detect blind spot area if thats the warning you are concerned about.
