Is the output rating etc, identical? Is it correct type of battery for STOP/START engine?

Its difficult to diagnose at distance really. You'll likely need to acquire the error codes (DTCs) that might be present...for an accurate fault indication. Its guess work otherwise.

I bought the battery through ETB using the reg check, I'll get the RAC out tomorrow

I had this the other day with a second hand QQ I just bought, dealer changed the battery but I also mentioned I suspected it could be the glow plugs. They checked and 4 of them were knackered. Could be other stuff, but worth considering since that sounds exactly like the problem I had.

I had a new battery fitted in my Nissan quasqui +2 last August and a few weeks ago I went to my car after a cold spell and battery was totally dead after being jumped off car was fine until today it is flashing up with a stop start fault and was struggling to start but is now starting fine again but fault is still there
