Can anyone help me please, I'm looking to have the cambelt and waterpump changed on my qashqai and I would like to know what the average price is, as I don't want to get ripped off ( the mechanic I usually use seems to want a lot of money (690.00) is this a reasonable price or is he loading it?
Many thanks,
Nige

Welcome to this forum.

That price is towards the higher end - albeit I'm only going by what I've seen on here and the internet. Have you checked with your local dealers?

https://www.autoexpress.co.uk/nissan/qa ... qai-review for example quotes "expect to pay £480-£550"

The suggested water pump replacement adds around £50.

Have you tried a search on here since it's come up before. Here's one for example - viewtopic.php?t=5791

You don't say where you are.

Some dealers are offering it at a "bargain" price - for example https://www.westwaynissan.co.uk/servicing/cambelt charges only £309.

https://www.wrdavies.co.uk/nissan/servi ... t-service/ quotes £375.

https://www.john-clark.co.uk/nissan/ser ... placement/ quotes £399 including 12 Months Free Roadside Assistance

https://www.southwestnissan.co.uk/servicing/cambelt/ says "from £420" though doesn't specify the model.

There's an extremely low price being quoted at https://www.nissanrepaircentreni.co.uk/?page_id=26 - I can't believe £139 and https://www.charleshurstgroup.co.uk/nis ... iming-belt at £225 is pretty low too.
