Does anyone know an independent inspector who will give court reports?

I have already had 1 diagnostic on the vehicle.

I offered to have a second diagnostic done and invited the dealer along to be present. They never responded.
I had a second one done anyway and it found the same fault.

They are now saying they want to come and bring their own mechanic to diagnose the car before they decide whether to give me a refund.

Anyone know any local to West Yorkshire independent inspectors I could book to be present if this happens. I want someone who would be happy to write a court report.

TIA

BeckyG, as I live in Berlin I am not really up to date with the UK System, but we do use DEKRA (mentioned in the attached) and the TÜV systems. Take a look at this information this might help you or give you ideas - Dave 😏

That was a good read Dave.

BeckyG,
Are you in a motoring organisation like the AA or RAC that could be of assistance ?
Are you a member of, maybe a Trade union, where Legal advice often comes as part of membership and may include specialist assistance Like the type you are referring too ?
Just a thought !
mrugby.

Hi mrugby
No, I'm not a member of any associations like that.
I found a guy local to me listed on the motor ombudsman site who I am going to speak to.

I also got advice from the motor ombudsman who said that I can refuse to allow his mechanic to come and diagnose the vehicle because he has conflict of interest.
This mechanic did the first repair and admitted he put a second hand part on the car, when I asked who supplied the part he said noone he already had one! I'm doubtful a small garage like that would happen to have the exact fuel injector for my vehicle just sat in a drawer!! If he made an inadequate repair of the vehicle he is likely to want to hide the fact!
