Ordering next week. Will be tekna plus in the brighter white (storm?).
First impressions, seems bigger inside than my 67 reg tekna plus, little bit slower and not as lively off the mark, maybe to do with the hybrid side of things? Much smoother on a run despite 20” alloys and feels a little more solid all round.
Screen is obv far better and more responsive.
Slightly worse on fuel it seemed, my current is the 1.6 dig-t.
Overall not a big difference but with the pcp up it’s my fave alternative. Looks really nice too imo with the larger alloys. I want the black roof too but don’t think it comes with the white I’m after.
Seemed a bit vague on the steering but I expect there’s an alteration available to ‘sport’ or similar. Had a quick look but couldn’t find it.
Drove the new one today

Good to get a review! No pictures?
I'd have expected the hybrid to be nippier based on how my car works - accelerate hard and the electric assistance kicks in. I'm presuming it'll tell you in the instruments when the hybrid element is working or regenerating.
MODERATOR - please move to the J12 section.

White + Black roof only available with the Storm White - and it's quite pricey
Arctic White is £250 extra
Storm White + Black roof is £1145 extra !!!
Of course Storm White by itself is still £745 extra but an extra £400 on top of that for a black roof - considering much of the roof is glass anyway - sounds expensive to me.

Didn’t notice anything on the instrument panel referencing the hybrid..the stop start is smoother, but again seems reticent when pulling away, like it’s holding you back a little to avoid a jerky or sudden start.

I must admit I have stopped reading the comments on the Bigger J12 Post as there was such a mix of the Negatives & Positives it was getting confusing, especially for the members that had ordered, never driven one and were not sure what they were getting. I always like to make my own assessment of what I want to buy, Spec it out and get a quote.
I do not have any priority at present as our J11B is pretty New and nice but still have an interest on the J12 and a Nod now from the Missus.
Anyway getting away from the Bla Bla I got a Test Drive in a „Premium“ today not what we want (Tekna +) but a start. Had an half hour drive with our Sales Guy and just an overview of some of the functions. The motor was the 1,3 (160PS) with the CVT Xtronic Auto Box. Done some quick motorway driving and my opinion was that the CVT was quieter, smoother, quicker than our DCT Box at present. Steering I found to be very precise and gave it some stick on a roundabout and it was very smooth and did not budge. The Auto Gear change is different than at present in that there is no manual change it’s Auto only or Paddles. You just pull the lever back for Drive or depress the Side Locks to push it into Reverse. You can also press „P“ for auto Park. i The „D“ Mode is basically the same as from the Juke (we had this also in an early Juke) There are 3 possibilities to select : Sport / Standard / ECO, I tried naturally the Sport Mode and this definitely improves the Power, although naturally in these days „ECO“ is the one to use.
I found the HUD System very helpful and it gives a good overview of the Speed plus there is a warning of Speed Limit Signs which are picked up and Alarm, Warn and flash until back to the correct Limit.
The Wiper Wash System Water on Arm was Highlighted also giving a much more thorough Wash / Wipe : IMHO I thought that the Operating Arms for Wipers / Lights etc were rather compact / close to the Wheel & Paddles. The displays I must say to me were excellent quality, really clear, sharp colors, 3D Maps etc. The „Stop Start“ was very quick to function OFF and when starting quick to Kick In better than our existing. The other Big Plus especially for the „Oldies“ is the 85* Door Opening & the Recessed Seat Area to help feet access. The PROPILOT System functioned very well in fact it felt more Precise than the existing in that it did not wander between the lines so much and the Steering felt much more Stable / Tight.
So that was basically the first Test Drive of a New J12, sorry could not cover all but time was limited for me to the driving alone feel and I will now wait until a Tekna + is available. Done about 60 Kms so got a.pretty good feel of the J12 and it’s Good - Dave

Sorry, this was just another pic of the Paddles and Functions which might help explain, did not actually try this option - Dave

Thanks DaveBerlin for this very thorough test review and nice pictures!
But this whole pro-pilot and hud system is completely dependent on Tom Tom and smartphone with the traffic app on it ! ???
It won't work otherwise, with say, Carplay or Android Auto ?
