and probably not the last. I need some help. Fitted gas struts to the bonnet this morning all went well, except when undoing the nut on the bonnet hinge, socket fell off the ratchet and dropped in a convenient hole which looks as though it behind the plastic wheel arch. Any ideas how to get this out short of wheel off and strip down of wheel arch.

Qashowner, I am not sure if this will solve your problem but there must be similar parts on the J11A & J11B. This information is for my J11B. There is a Plastic / Foam Partition that is located by Push Fit Plugs into the Bodywork around the Wing Area. Be careful as these can snap but the good old Double Sided Tape will help if S - - - happens - Dave

Thanks Dave, I thought that was a fixed item so will give it a try tomorrow.

Had a look, but unfortunately the "pillow" is not there on mine and it's fell to the bottom so will need wheel off and inner wheel arch removed
