I should hopefully be getting my Tekna+ in Jan. I was quite lucky in being able to pick up on someone's cancelled order to jump the queue a bit. However, this left me in a position of not being able to spec anything.

Ideally, I wanted the front fogs. I was wondering how hard they would be to fit?

It looks like the lower grill has blankers in the spaces where the fogs go, which look like they can be removed? I'm also assuming the wires/connectors are there in the harness, waiting - and hoping they haven't missed those wires out completely.

What about the stalk control? I've seen the stalks for the QQ without the front fogs, and even though the front fog icon is present on the stalk, it still looks like the fog switch can move to the upwards position. Can anyone confirm this, or would I need a new stalk/auxiliary button?

Thanks

Hello @QashqaiKev,

The LED fog lights are listed separately in the Qashqai Accessories brochure so I would imagine they are a dealer-fitted option with the possibility of a DIY job? 🤷🏻‍♂️

Was looking at that myself and it's not as easy as it seems. Fitting fogs - easy enough but you need new stalk to switch them on and coding so the ECU would know that you have them. I was quoted 800 eur at stealership. 450 fog lights itself. They must be made of gold anyways

It did at launch but they deleted them pretty quickly.
My salesman rang me to apologise about two months after my order went in.
Good old Nissan.

My betting is that there would be loads of wiring to install as well as cutting holes in bumpers

That's cheap. I actually got my dealership to order and install fog lights for me. They quoted 933 euros for parts at first and 350 euros for labour. Which was eventually lowered to 800 euros for parts (lights and stalk) and 350 for labour. So 1200 euros total.

They are listed as standard at the moment again and have been for some time I thought.

I agree the wiring is unlikely to be there. manufacturers don't build one loom anymore each variant has a different loom.

To be honest , with LED headlamps - I personally found the front fog lamps to be quite ineffective.
Switch them on and off and barely notice a difference in the light ahead

Mine stay off !

There's been some peasoupers round here of late. Front fog lights would have been helpful to see the road and markings. I would have specced them but they weren't available at the time or would have delayed the build considerably. The headlights are good but in thick fog low angled fog lights would help illuminate just infront of the car.

I'm waiting for my Acenta Premium e-power next week and the local dealership (in Greece) said that can install the front fog lights (from the Nissan accessories as in the 2nd post of this topic) for 470 euro (price+installation). It will be a button for on/off on the dashboard, at the left of the steering wheel (LHD).
