Just as a topic about fuel economy and how the QQ points various things out.So, at the end of a drive it pops up and displays your MPG for the journey you just completed and what your best ever MPG was.If you have a new "High Score" then you can save that for comparison going forward.Yesterday I got a new record of 58.4...top of the leader board....shame there isn't an 80's style arcade game enter your initials here option BUTI have a sneaky suspicion, not yet checked this, that this number is the MAXIMUM MPG reached during the journey....i.e. when free wheeling down the side of a mountain with the engine hardly doing anything.Although it doesn't indicate or imply anywhere on screen that this was your average for the journey it has somehow felt like that, up until now.By flicking through the various screens you can see your average, shown on a very nice horizontal sliding bar, it just doesn't seem that easy to display that information versus your "High Score Table".

The 'Trip 1' figures are from when you manually reset them yourself, 'Trip 2' starts afresh every journey, therefore the mpg displayed on trip 2 is the average mpg from when you switched the engine on i.e.for that journey. The blue sliding bar is the mpg at that instant in time. BTW I managed 74mpg as an average mpg for my 40 mile journey home from work this evening, 5 miles of traffic & 35 of the M4, it took a fair bit of careful right foot control and a touch of sitting in behind our articulated friends! I'm trying to post a photo of the dash display but getting an internal server error ATM...Wheelie Bealie2014-03-18 20:24:20

Only done 170 miles and best so far is 55mpg and I dont baby the throttle. That is about 50/50 A1 and town driving. Eco score has improved from 31 to 56.....

The mpg will get better, the 1.5 is at its best after 3k miles says the manual

You diesel people spare a though for us poor petrol users. Although I did manage 58 mpg down a Welsh mountain and into Barmouth.
As I mentioned on another thread the mpg figure can zero itself if the start stop cuts in for an extended period which is a little annoying when you want to check what it is doing on a run.
