I'm almost relieved to see I'm not the only one getting 'fingered' because other drivers think I'm not indicating!
I've received more 'angry gestures' in the six months I've had this QQ than in the previous 30+ years of driving! I got so paranoid at one point that I kept stopping and getting out to check the indicators really were working.
They just don't seem bright enough and are too near the middle and on sunny days they are useless. Muddy roads will also make them invisible.
Can't help wondering what happens if a Police officer decides the indicators are not up to standard.
Definitely Not Nissan's finest design feature and is causing extra stress and anger on the roads.
A Tekna, because I admit I need all the help I can get.

I don't pick my 65 Tekna up until Wednesday so can't test this..... I read that with headlights on the problem isn't there as daylights are disabled. Is a short term fix until Nissan address this to drive with side lights on (presume that also overrides daylights). Not ideal but at least safe

I doubt they fix this unless people complains. Aussiebob you were right unfortunately. Here is the response from VCA:

Makes you wonder why they even bother to mention it as a choice.
It's not like they were filling out a dissertation that needed to make 10K words...

That is a lot better, makes the indicator stand out a lot more!! Would be better to see it working from more of a distance as the problem isn't so obvious close up to the light

Duncho - did you make the dimmer? If so well done!!

If you did make the dimmer are you considering marketing it to club members?

Cheers

They use identical design on models other than QQ too.

I'm all for it, duncho - you may recall me dropping large hints about a circuit that would perform this very function.

I'll be up in the front of the queue if you manage to make a cheap simple fix!
