Has anyone had the chance to use the heated windscreen yet?I thought about it this morning when I was late for work, with the blower on full waiting for the ice and interior mist to disappear so that I could join the motorway crawl.Does it clear the inside mist as well as the outside ice?I've never had a heated windscreen before so completely unaware if it's better than the blower or not.

I previously had a Ford Galaxy with a heated windscreen and it was superb. It cleared the moisture on the inside and the ice on the outside in no time at all. I went for the Tekna trim level to replace my current QQ+2 with one of the main reasons being that it has the heated screen. It has certainly been the only criticism of my current QQ that it does take a while to clear the glass on a frosty morning. With a 22nd of May delivery date though hopefully I will not need it this year.

Is anybody able to explain the "tech" behind this feature? Is it a heater element in the climate control system, or is it heated wire elements in the screen itself like Ford use?

It is fine wire elements that are embedded in the screen you can see them if you look close.

I think they can actually be a little distracting in direct sunlight as, for me, they become really obvious....found myself staring at them yesterday as I drove home lol

You have set me off now, I have also started to stare at the wiggly lines which I had not noticed before. I now need to condition myself to look past them
