Morning. Only the drivers switch lights up and the other 3 on my door are blank. The other switches only lift a short distance compared to the one for my drivers window.
Coming from a Golf GTI which everything was illuminated Nissan do appear to be cutting costs.

Silverman, at least that should clear up this point as at least you have a real Qashqai. Basically that is all that is needed for the Driver as all the other switches can be operated from each seat position - which I think is correct. Naturally having illuminated switches would be a big plus but then again looking means taking your eyes of the road. With our Juke your fingers seems to home in on the unlit switches guided by the slightly raised seration on the switch top face - Dave

Daveberlin. They are the same switches as you have in the Duke. They dont light up in the back or passenger side. I have the Acenta but it may be different in the tekna.

This was one of the first things I mentioned in my 500 mile review. I have never had a car that has buttons that work but no logo or lighting on them either, again a cost cutting exercise that you do not notice on your test drive. The back of the car seems very dark at night with no door lighting. Pretty poor in my opinion

I agree with you they made a new interior very nice, but on these things Nissan are really fallen down even the ceiling lights is of poor quality

I agree with you on the ceiling lights....tempted to LED them as I think that would make a difference. Also being able to change the ambient light colour would of been nice....or have a dim interior glow in the back of the car like you do on some Mercs etc.But that's being very picky lol

Have to say I sat in a QQ yesterday and looked at thisTo me I myself dont see an issue as I dont recal ever looking for a window switch as I drive my hand just sort of goes there in my current car I accept often i open a rear window then curse apologize to kid whos sitting with ice droplets on hes face but since ive stopped smoking I have to admit i rarely open a window nowaday unless im at a drive throughAmbient lighting in a car I actualy find distracting myself when night driving in country lanes the reflection can be picked up on windscreenToo much lighting reminds me of a limmo or 70s porn film
