Headlight upgrade

Hi all I've read some threads relating to how the halogen headlights on the QQ are not up to much. I have to agree they're not the best but I am more interested in the aesthetics i.e led drls with lukewarm looking halogens. Has anyone done an upgrade to led or xenons?

Cameronw89, take a look at these couple of Old Posts they may answer your questions, they may not but might be worth a read - Dave

I've swapped the standard bulbs for osram nightbreaker unlimited and the difference is really noticeable.... it's the closest match to the drl's I've found.
Hi folks. Many thanks for the helpful posts concerning upgrading the headlight bulbs. The standard ones do seem a bit dim - but this could be age-related!
I've bought a set of osram hightbreaker H11 and H7 for my QQ acenta premium.
Any advice on fitting the new main beam and dipped beam bulbs, driver's side and passenger side would be much appreciated. Any do's and don'ts?

The dipped beams are easy to swap, but if you want to swap the high beams too, you'd need to remove the front part of the intake pipe to get your hand in on the passenger's side. Unless you have hands like Wee Jimmy Krankie of course. Don't touch the bulb's glass envelope!

Hound's advice for changing the original bulbs was spot on. I took my time ad it still only took 25 minutes.
I had my first extended night-time drive back home from the NEC yesterday, on the motorway and on a variety of A and B roads.
I can thoroughly recommend the replacement Osram Nightbreaker H11 and H7 from Powerbulbs. Much brighter and more penetrative than the original Phillips bulbs fitted to my 2014 QQ. I wish I had changed them months ago!

Glad it gave you the confidence to do the job. I adapted 65W H9 bulbs to replace the H11s but I am sure the H11 Nightbreakers are better. I'm also sure that my eyesight is largely to blame, too!

Updating all 4 bulbs was the first thing I did when I got new QQ late November. Compared with my Megane (where removing the whole front of the car is the only sensible option), it was a breeze.

Hi Dave,
Tried the Chinese creed clone 30w with ETI led which is fine at 5000k to match the DRL.
Decided to go for the below 55w +version with Philips led and certainly much brighter albeit withnon preferred fan:
