Sorry to hear this, at least it's just not me. I can only think it's a design fault in terms that it takes very little to move it from auto to on. It other cars the auto setting is at the top on this one it's the bottom.

Just sat in the car for the last half an hour or so flicking the indicators on and off and it works perfectly every time without moving the setting from auto to anything else regarding the lights. The twist function on tge end of the stalk is adequately stiff enough to prevent unintentional rotation.

That's fair enough but it's affecting some of us. Interesting to see if others add there names to this thread.

It's happend to me several times..............................easy to spot though as the "lights on" symbol appears. There is not enough resistance on the rotating switch to prevent accidental operation.

This was a constant problem for me when I first bought the car. As others have mentioned, there wasn’t enough resistance to prevent accidental operation. Thanks to a tip from another member, I fitted a rubber O ring over the first (left-hand) groove and hey presto, problem solved. Very simple but very effective – it’s not happened since. If anyone is interested, I’ve used a 33mm O ring (internal dimension).

Useful to know that - I'll try it.

Peter, thanks for that info' a great "Engineering Solution" I will give it a try. I have been out of the game a few years now and my spares stock has run out just need to get hold of the "O" Ring - Nice One Dave ;)

Sometimes happens to me on using the indicators. Will try the O ring solution.
