Hound, I raised the question of the movement with our Sales a guy yesterday and he admitted to him it was a little loose even on a new QQ.
Regarding the "Vipers Herr Hound" I bought as before Bosch (Scheibenwischers) Aerotwin Wiper Blades AR652S (650 x 450mm). Take a look at this Post and you will find some comments on the Wiper variations, you can go slightly longer, but too me it was just too close for safety. What I have are great - Dave :D

Gloucester, I think you could be correct regarding the "O" Ring size being the O/Dia not I/Dia - Dave ;)

Dave, I knew that you and Duncho had the AR652S combo, and I have as well - see page 3 of that thread. I just wondered if you had gone for the same this time, or if the dealer had given you the standard QQ sizes 650/425.

I also swapped the rear blade for a 300mm Bosch.

Here endeth the thread derailment! ;)

Mmmm, just checked the size again of my O ring and it's definitely 33mm internal. Thinking about it though, I suppose it could have stretched in the 18 months since fitting so may have started out with a smaller dimension. I just used the best fit from the toolbox.

For the first couple of months I was switching the headlights on whenever I signalled. Somehow this has stopped happening.
My feeling is that i've got used to the position of the stalk and have now learned not to impinge on the headlight control. If I'd tried of the O ring trick I'd be saying it was a great success!
Interesting that so many have had the same problem. Certainly points to poor design/quality control by Nissan, to go along with the front indicator lights not being seen due to their position and brightness of the daytime lights.
Anyone else getting wheelspin in spite of the TCS? I know the TCS works because I got stuck in mud last year and the wheels stopped turning completely after they'd been spinning! I had a Vectra 2.5 V6 years ago and that never spun at all, even on ice. Just seems another Nissan bit that doesn't quite work as it should.
A Tekna, because I admit I need all the help I can get.

I agree the size originally suggested seems too high - unless it's actually 33mm external not internal diameter - since the one I've fitted is 26.5+3+3=32.5mm externally.

Seems to be working fine - but it'll take a while to get used to the different feel of the lever. Now should I put out on the other stalk to make them look the same....

Gloucester, I was at our Nissan Dealer today and got the store Guy to get me an assortment of O.Rings which I tried. The size that I selected was 22mm I/Dia x 3mm Section Dia. and it seems to work satisfactory. So it looks like there are several options that can be used giving the same effect - Dave ;)

The one I put on has done the job perfectly. No false rotations since fitting it.
