I have a Quahqai 1.6 D Tekna (1 month old) and driving carefully (Got stuck behind a lorry) managed to get 68 mpg. I'm averaging 55 mpg over the last 1000k miles that included towing my folding camper over a 200 mile journey.

I'm very pleased with my fuel consumption and wondered what you guys are getting?

I'm getting pretty much the same with that engine and AWD. Having said that, I got it down to 30 mpg this week doing 80mph with a tandem on the roof, a bike on the tow hitch rack and the air-con going (outside temp was 26 degree).

Anything from 56 to 62 on a tankful but it is mainly driven on A/B roads not much town or motorway driving. Awesome for such a big car with an auto box.

The 1.6 looks to be more efficient than the 1.5 if used heavily

I've done 16k in my Sept. 15 NTEC+ 1.5 and usually average 48-52 mostly motorway miles at 80 ish (yes, I know).

Best has been 83 on a 10 mile run downhill stuck behind a lorry on A roads. This engine seems to like coasting and low load / revs

My next cars will not have an engine under 2 litres. Low CC turbo'd vehicles might show good MPG on the test bed but are not as efficient in the real world ( a friends 2.2 merc auto averages over 60 mpg whilst cruising at 80ish on the motorway)

Mine is a 1.6 diesel 4x4, mainly because it was available immediately! The 4-wheel drive, that is, which I don't need & have never utilised. The 1.6 diesel I wanted because the 130bhp it was the most powerful available, & the smallest engine I've had in years! My best trip mileage is 58mpg, but my lifetime average is 43mpg. I've done 24,000kms (about 15,000 miles), mainly in rural Andalusia, but including a couple of round trips to UK, via the Santander-Portsmouth Brittany Ferry. I'm quite happy with that, as it's the most economical car I've had!

your mpg is correct i am in cadiz puerto santa maria at present. i live in Torrevieja. i have only done 9000km and my engine is stiff i get a fuelly of 6.1 por 100km and 7.5 around town once i put it to mpg on the dash and it lies it fooled me to think that the mpg was much much better than it really is but the fuelly app on the web cannot be incorrect i noticed a 2015 xtrail at 9.5liters for100km my qashqai is perl white as well, good luck brian

I should, perhaps, add that I have never turned the aircon off - I leave it on all year round & adjust the temperature as required.
